“ Hello to you both, Just returned after another superb holiday. Once again everything was all that we could have hoped for - weather, food, wine and last but not least your house!! Travelling via "Le Tunnel" (we had an horrendous experience a couple of years ago) we had a lovely journey down and of course we knew precisely where to go. As mentioned the weather was absolutely lovely, we only had a couple of dull days so the patio and loungers saw a awful lot of us. Thank you once again - we have started planning next year so I am certain we shall be in contact. Kindest regards, Alex ” - Alex and Nita Ferguson, United Kingdom

“ Dear Debra and Steve, We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Les Champs de Cloux last week. The layout of the property was ideal for us and the high position gives splendid views. We had good weather for most of the time although we left in rain with hail forecast in the Beaune area! We are spending the next 10 days in the Grand Massif area of the French Alps and it is pouring with rain at the moment. Hope we left everything in order. Best regards John and Margaret ” - John and Margaret Chippendale, United Kingdom

“ Hi Debra, It is always a pleasure to stay at Les Champs. We had a great week there with my brother and wife who also fell in love with your house. Veronica thinks you missed a trick by not putting french doors in your bedroom ha! Like me she enjoyed the views sitting up in bed. We all went wine tasting at the Chateaux in couches and had a great meal in "La Tour Bajole. We are just back from holiday after a great time the weather was soooooh good we couldn't believe our luck. Washing ironing etc brings you down to earth with a bump! Cheers Ellen and Andy XX ” - Ellen and Andy Hulbert, United Kingdom

“ Hello Debra and Steve, What an amazing holiday we have had, your cottage is perfect,we could quite easily pack up and move in tomorrow, although with the temperatures we got during our first week a pool would have been the icing on the cake. What a fantastic area, the views are to die for, although it was clear not clear enough to see Mont Blanc, we could see down the valley for miles, it was a bit breezy at times but helped to keep the termperature down, so peaceful for most of the time when we sat in the garden all we could hear were bee's and bird's,we would love to be able to retire to a place like like that, sheer heaven. There were no problems with anything, and we can't think of anything that was missing,we tried to keep the garden tidy for you,all the cones kept dropping off the pine trees in the wind, so we gathered them up a put them in piles around the edges of the grass, and we watered the plants which are really beautiful, love all the lavender around, smells gorgeous. Our first visit to Burgundy, and we loved it, we will definitely be back to the area again, and we will come and stay in your cottage,we will pass you on to our friends who visit France often, sure they would enjoy it as much as we have. Thanks again for letting us enjoy your fantastic home. Yours Thankfully, kind regards Janise and Mick Jordan. ” - Janise and Mick Jordan, United Kingdom

“ Dear Debra, Nita and I have just returned having spent a superb holiday in Couches. The house was all we could have wished for and even exceeded the details given in your excellent web-site. The views were amazing and were particularly lovely in the evening. The weather was very kind, it fact the first week was lovely and totally unexpected. We had rain on the middle Sunday and also on the final Friday but this was not really a problem. We are already planning for next year and dates permitting we really hope to return. Thank you one again for the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful part of France. Kind regards, Alex ” - Alex and Nita Ferguson, United Kingdom

“ Les Champs de Cloux is a gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your immaculate house in its stunning location. The house was fully equipped, providing a truly relaxing stay. The village had everything we needed, but we also enjoyed visiting a few other towns in the area, especially Autun. Memorable moments include: the scent of the lavender in the garden when we arrived; eating fresh croissants from the patisserie for breakfast on the terrace; sitting in the garden watching the night sky appear; playing petanque in the garden and walking through the nearby hamlets at dusk. From making our first enquiry by email, to receiving our key collection arrangements, we couldn't have hoped for more prompt and efficient service. We are sure it won't be our only visit! ” - Mr and Mrs Wilson, United Kingdom

“ Thanks again for a wonderful holiday in your home. We had a terrific time and being our second visit, we were more relaxed in the environment and the beautiful Burgundy countryside. It really is a special part of France. We had perfect weather and spent a lot of time at the house, watching the world pass us by. ” - Wendy and Ian Hyland, Australia

“We had a fantastic holiday in Burgundy. Everything about the house was great. The location and views are superb and the interior beautifully designed, very comfortable and extremely well equipped. During our stay we enjoyed cycling, walking, visiting local towns, vineyards and restaurants plus relaxing and enjoying the views from Les Champs De Cloux. We quickly came to the conclusion that a week wasn't long enough and so we will definitely have to make a return visit. Many thanks for facilitating a fabulous holiday and all your help and advice. ” - Wendy Davies, United Kingdom

“Now catching up on emails and thanking all those who hosted us in France including your good selves. What a holiday and what a lovely home you have at Les Champs de Cloux. The bed was very comfortable and it was good to have proper seating and soft towels as in our experience few gites have these! I did very little cooking but the facilities were there if I needed them. The electric heaters were efficient and we definitely needed them! We walked and walked until rain stopped play on the Thursday when all we did was eat the Menu du Terrain in town. The locals at the restaurant and in the shops in Couches were very helpful and friendly. As always, it seems, we were on the edge of several maps so Alan scanned them in, joined them up on screen and produced one for the surrounding area. We left a few copies there for others. We went out to explore more of the public tracks mid-week only to find that the commune had arranged for them to be mowed, it seemed, just for us! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home and garden with us and being so 'virtually' welcoming. ” - Pat and Alan Edwards, United Kingdom

“The house, situated in the hamlet of Eguilly, about 1 km or so from Couches, has lovely rear views over surrounding countryside and a spacious roughly south-facing rear terrace and paved patio area, making a delightful relaxing area. The house was exceptionally comfortable and very well equipped, lacking nothing in the domestic department that we could have wished for. The large garden also provided secure and spacious car-parking. The area around Couches is fascinating even for those who are not especially interested in the wine heritage. Various villages and towns are worthy of visits. Couches itself has a good supermarket Coccinelle, open every day, and good patisserie. It has been a delight to deal with you – rapid response to questions, full, timely information, and always a warm and friendly approach. ” - Mr and Mrs Buckley, United Kingdom

“ Just to let you know we are now back in the UK after a most enjoyable holiday in France. It was great catching up with our friends scattered around France but we both really enjoyed our stay in your villa despite the weather - but being Brits we made the most of it. You certainly have a lovely villa in beautiful and peaceful surroundings - I never thought standing at the kitchen sink could be so enjoyable but with a view like that it was a pleasure and watching the birds was great particularly the jays as they seem to shoot too many in this country. Everyone in the village was friendly and helpful. Hopefully it will fit into our itinerary next time we are in France. ” - Ann and Brin Mayhew-Smith, United Kingdom
